Main content or requirements | On 27 September 2024, the European Commission amended the hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD) content limit in the POPs Regulation (EU) 2019/1021. The content limit in substances, mixtures and articles is reduced from 100 mg/kg (0.01%) to 75 mg/kg (0.0075%), from 17 October 2024. |

On 27 September 2024, the European Commission approved and published Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/2555 to amend Annex I to Persistent Organic Pollutants Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 as regards the entry of hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD). It shall enter into force on 17 October 2024.
