Only 50% of clothes imported from the Republic of Korea were qualified during a spot check in Zhejiang, Oriental Morning Post reported Thursday. A dye element capable of causing cancer and forbidden in textiles and apparel was found to be 30.4 times more than the acceptable level. Some clothes’ fiber content was found not to match that marked on the label. Dresses, female pants, suits and woolen sweaters were on the disqualified list.
