32 Batches of Imported Children’s Clothing were Unqualified

Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau announced that from January to May of 2012, Shanghai port launched supervisions on 531 batches of imported children’s clothing and infants’ clothing, in which 32 batches were found unqualified and the failure rate was up to 6%. The places of origin of these products were mainly Bangladesh, India, Korea and other countries or regions.

The main unqualified items: formaldehyde, pH value, colour fastness and fiber content.
